- Smart, Responsible Growth!
Protect the small-town feel that makes Valp special while ensuring long-term planning—not short-term urgency. Do important things, not just the easy ones. Deliberate planning for the future means updating our plans and ordinances, funding engineering studies for shovel-ready projects that poise us to take advantage of outside funding sources.
Prepare for hurricane season, and make plans for dealing with the worst case scenario. - Transparent, Accountable City Government Use new technologies and public outreach to explain decisions clearly and show how we use taxpayer dollars wisely . Modernize city outreach, increase opportunities for citizen input.
- Seek funding sources other than property taxes. Active pursuit of grants to improve Valp.'s aging infrastructure. Voters might not realize the water, storm drain, and sewer pipes in the ground are old.
