- Neighborhood safety isn't just a talking point for me- it is my absolute top priority. That means taking a firm stance on short term rental that bring disruption to our quiet neighborhoods. We must ensure our law enforcement officer and firefighters have the resources they need to keep our families, schools and streets safe.
- A truly strong city is also a compassionate one. We need to support our animal services and their collaboration with local rescue missions. I strongly oppose the practice of euthanizing animals simply due to lack of space or resources. We can and we must do better for our Animals. But this compassion must also extend to our fellow residents. Through my own volunteer work with local charities I have seen the incredible life changing impact these organizations have on the ground. Instead of relying solely on city contributions, we must empower and support our local non-profits to take the lead in caring for homeless individuals, providing them with real help, resources and dignity.
- The greatest need is for the city council to listen to its residents. I also believe strongly in listening to our residents. Our City Council should be keenly aware of the difference between listening and just hearing. I will make myself accessible, engage regularly with the community, and ensure that decisions at City Hall reflect the real concerns of district-3 families and not just rapid development goals. Irving's diversity is our greatest strength and I am committed to representing every single voice in district 3. Let's work together to make our home the best it can be.
