The Florida Speech or Debate Privilege Amendment, also known as Amendment 4, was a legislatively referred constitutional amendment in Florida which was defeated on the ballot on November 6, 1984.

This amendment sought to modify Article III of the Florida Constitution to declare that legislators' speech relating to legislative duties is privileged.[1]

Proposing an amendment to the State Constitution to provide that legislators' speech or debate relating to legislative duties is privileged and that legislators shall not be questioned in any other place with respect thereto.[2][3]
