Leah Seaton appointed to Wicomico County Circuit Court

Salisbury, Maryland: Leah Jane Seaton is the newest judge of the First Circuit Court in Wicomico County, Maryland. She was appointed by Gov. O'Malley on May 26, 2011 to replace retired Judge Donald C. Davis. Seaton has worked as Master of Domestic Relations and Juvenile causes for the Wicomico County Circuit Court since 2005. Of the nomination, Gov. O'Malley stated, "Master Seaton’s intelligence, patience and work ethic made her a superb Master in the Circuit Court, and those same qualities will allow her to excel as a Circuit Court judge." Seaton said, "I'm so honored to have been selected. I have big shoes to fill. Judge Davis has been a mentor to me." She has also worked as a Hearing Examiner for the Maryland Department of Human Resources, an attorney for the Legal Aid Bureau, and an Administrative Law Judge.[1][2]
