Don W. Poole is a criminal court judge for the Hamilton County Criminal Court in the Eleventh Judicial District of Tennessee. He was elected to the court on August 3, 2006, and re-elected on August 7, 2014. His current eight-year term expires in 2022.[1][2][3]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.

Education

Poole received both his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Tennessee in 1964 and 1965, respectively.[1]

Career

Poole began his career as a law clerk for the Tennessee Supreme Court. He also served as a judge advocate general in the U.S. Armed Forces and spent three years as an assistant district attorney for Hamilton County. From 1972 until his judicial election in 2006, Poole worked as an attorney in private practice.[1]
