Daphne A. Oberg is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the District of Utah. She assumed office on May 1, 2020.

Education

Oberg obtained a B.S. from Westminster College. She received her J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she served as executive editor of the Utah Law Review, graduated with high honors, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.[1]

Professional career

Oberg worked in the Utah Federal Defender’s Office, starting in 2007. Before that, she was a law clerk to Judge Paul Cassell of the United States District Court for the District of Utah and for Judge Monroe McKay of the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.[1]
