Stanak ran for Vermont Attorney General in 2012. He faced incumbent Bill Sorrell (D), Burlington businessman Jack McMullen (R), and Liberty Union candidate Rosemarie Jackowski in the general election on November 6, 2012. He was defeated by incumbent Sorrell.[1][2]
