Ian Daelucian was a candidate for the Irvine City Council in California. Daelucian was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

Although city council elections in Irvine are officially nonpartisan, Daelucian is known to be affiliated with the Green Party.[2]

Daelucian holds an associate degree in theatre arts, psychology, and photography from Orange Coast College, and a B.A. in drama and philosophy and an M.F.A. in stage management from the University of California, Irvine.[3]

As of his run for city council in 2016, Daelucian was a freelance project manager and the founder and president of the homeless outreach organization The Heart of Delight. He has also volunteered with homeless and domestic abuse victim shelters, the Annual Walk for Hope, and the community organization Be the Cause.[3][4][5]

The city of Irvine, California, held elections for mayor and city council on November 8, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was in August 2016.
