Yvonne Woods was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 2 of the Louisville City Council in Kentucky. She withdrew from the race on April 19, saying she endorsed Rasean Crawley and did not want to split the vote between them. "Yvonne Woods' endorsement and support of my campaign is most appreciated and also shows that the voters of District 2 are ready for a change," said Crawley in a statement after Woods dropped from the election.[1]

Woods is a retiree of General Electric and a community organizer.[2]
