Brad Dalley is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial District Court in New Mexico. He was appointed by Governor Susana Martinez on January 2, 2015.[1] He ran unopposed for election in 2016.
Biography
Dalley received his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1998. Prior to his judicial appointment, he was an attorney in private practice.[1]

New Mexico held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on June 7, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 8, 2016.[2] Incumbent Brad Dalley ran unopposed in the New Mexico 11th District Court general election for Division 1.[3]

The 84 judges of the New Mexico District Courts are selected in partisan elections to six-year terms. They must compete in yes-no retention elections if they wish to serve subsequent terms.[4]
The process of chief judge selection varies by district, as does the chief judge's term length.[4]
Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must:[4]
- be the minimum age of 35;
- have at least six years legal practice;
- be a state resident for at least three years; and
- be a district resident.
