Joyce Baylor-Thompson

Joyce Baylor-Thompson is an associate judge on the First District Court in Baltimore City, Maryland. She was appointed to the court by Governor Martin O'Malley on February 24, 2014 and assumed office on March 21, 2014.[1][2] Her current term expires in 2024.[3]
Education
Baylor-Thompson received her undergraduate degree in social work from Morgan State University in 1978, her master's degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1979, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1986.[2]

2010 election
Baylor-Thompson was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Baltimore City, along with Ramona Moore Baker and Lewyn Scott Garrett, in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 34.68% of the vote.[4][5]
