For over 25 years Aaron Connor has focused his career on helping good people purchase and stay in their homes. He has worked as an underwriter, loan processor, title reviewer, loan officer, business analyst, and a systems administrator. Aaron's unique skill set gives him an understanding of the entire lifecycle of the complexities of the industry. Aaron is running to ensure all people in Maricopa County have fair and accurate assessments and that the office is transparent about how those assessments and valuations were created.
  • Trust - For years, the former Assessor had weaponized the office. People in certain cities lost their homes due to unfair and biased assessments. When elected, I will end these punitive practices and rebuild trust with taxpayers. Maricopa County residents deserve an Assessor they can trust.
  • Transparency - I believe in showing my work. I want taxpayers to have an understanding of the assessment process and how their contributions via property taxes are the building blocks of our community. I will hold easily accessible town hall meetings throughout the county during my tenure as County Assessor.
  • Fairness and Accuracy - I will work to ensure Maricopa County taxpayers have a fair and accurate property assessment. The valuation provided on a given property impacts all of our community. Remember, 75 percent of all property taxes go directly toward education spending.
Aaron has spent most of his career focused on keeping people in their homes. He is also passionate about the environment, veteran services, healthcare for all, and animal rights.
This office is crucial to ensure all property in Maricopa County is assessed accurately. This is important because it impacts how much taxpayer money might be available for schools and infrastructure.
75% of your property taxes directly impact schools. Now more than ever we need competent leadership in the Maricopa County Assessors office to ensure we have fair and accurate assessments for all property owners.
I believe that it is important that we have leadership that has experience in the job and can hit the ground running. That is exactly what I can provide.
My understanding of large complex Information Technology projects will be important. There are some large projects underway and the Assessors Office requires a leader that has both industry knowledge as well as technical expertise to ensure that these projects are managed correctly and taxpayers' money is managed carefully.
