Andrew P. Rodovich was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He joined the court in 1982 and retired on February 28, 2013.[1][2]

Education

Judge Rodovich received his B.A. degree in Government from Valparaiso University in 1970. He then earned his J.D. degree from Valparaiso Law School in 1973.[1]

Professional career

Judge Rodovich began his career in 1973 with the law firm Hand, Muenich and Rodovich. He worked briefly in 1978 as a referee for the Hammond City Court. In 1979, he became the Chief Deputy Prosecutor for Lake County, Indiana and he held this position until he became a magistrate judge in 1982. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Valparaiso University Law School since 1985.[1]

Rodovich joined the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana in 1982 and retired on February 28, 2013. He has served as a recalled magistrate judge since that time.[1][2]

Judge Rodovich was the referring judge in a case involving bondholders of a failed steam plant in Wisconsin. The judge ruled on February 24, 2010, that Winnebago County Circuit Court could not proceed on a lawsuit involving the bond holders until the City of Menasha gets records from two bond issuing agents in Indiana. The case eventually proceeded and was ultimately settled.[3]
