Andria Cooper
Andria Cooper was a district court judge in the Eighth Judicial District of New Mexico. She joined the court on June 17, 2011 after an appointment from Governor Susana Martinez.[1] She did not retain her seat in the 2012 election.
Education
Cooper received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fort Hays State University. She received her J.D.from the University of Kansas School of Law.
Career
Prior to joining the court, Cooper worked in general legal practice, criminal prosecution, and defense. Cooper previously served as an assistant professor and interim chair of Justice Studies at a university.[2]
Election
2012
Andria Cooper was unsuccessful in the November election, failing to retain her seat on the New Mexico Eighth Judicial District Court.[3] She was defeated by Jeff H. McElroy, in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4]
