As HOA President of my southside Wayne District neighborhood, I have experience as a community leader. I effectively engage with members of our community, mediate disputes and balance a community budget-even adding services without raising revenue.
- I will promote a platform to eradicate bullying from our schools. Our scholars should never experience this negative form of communication or suffer from its distressing effects.
- I will ensure you have easy & free live access to board meetings online. I intend to introduce free options so you can video-stream & watch school board meetings from the comfort of home.
- I hold your tax dollars in high regard and oppose new taxes. I will keep our budget balanced, utilize funds in the most efficient manner & try to stop problems before they occur.
Besides resourcefulness, I am also an excellent mediator. I can see all sides to an issue and create compromises to solve problems. When there was a known predator volunteering in a Hagerstown elementary school, I worked directly with the Indiana Department of Education & Hagerstown Schools to implement background checks and keep the predator from re-entering the school. I would use my mediation skills while discussing policy and budgeting, helping the board and Wayne schools reach the best possible outcomes.
