An effort in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to recall Mayor Becky Glewen was initiated in August 2018.[1] Recall organizers failed to submit enough signatures to move the recall forward.[2]

Recall supporters

Reasons for the recall listed on the petition include cronyism, covert policies, insensitivity to taxpayer concerns, fiscal irresponsibility, and overtaxation.[1]

Recall opponents

Glewen responded to the recall effort, saying, "I have no hesitation in letting my record stand for itself. I ran on and was elected on a platform of change and economic improvement for the city. As elected mayor, I am responsible for putting forth that vision but, have no direct control over spending."
