Three seats on the Bellevue Public Schools Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014.
Incumbents Nina Wolford, Frank Kumor, and Mike Kinney ran unopposed and won re-election.[1]

Bellevue Public Schools is located in Sarpy County, Nebraska. The county seat is Papillion. Sarpy County had a population of 169,331 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau in 2014.[2] In the 2011-2012 school year, Bellevue Public Schools was the fifth-largest school district in Nebraska and served 9,988 students.[3]
Demographics
In 2012, Sarpy County had a higher percentage of residents with a bachelor's degree compared to the state overall. The United States Census Bureau reported that 35.8 percent of residents aged 25 and older in Sarpy County had earned a bachelor's degree, compared with 28.1 percent for Nebraska. The median household income in Sarpy County was $69,269, above the state median of $51,381. The poverty rate in the county was 6.6 percent, compared to 12.4 percent for Nebraska as a whole.[2]

Voter and candidate information
As of the 2014 election, the Bellevue Board of Education consisted of six members elected at-large to four-year terms. A representative of the military community may be invited to serve as a seventh member in an advisory capacity.[5] There was no primary election and the general election was held on November 4, 2014. Three seats were up for election in 2014.
School board candidates had to file in the office of the election commissioner or county clerk during the candidate filing period, which ended on February 18, 2014, for incumbents and on March 3, 2014, for challengers. The deadline to withdraw was also on March 3, 2014. Write-in candidates had to file by October 24, 2014. To vote in the 2014 general election, voters had to register by October 17, 2014.

The Sarpy County Democratic Party endorsed Nina Wolford and Michael Kinney in the election.[6]
