Biography

Calvin Moniz was born in Fremont, California. He earned a high school diploma from Modesto High School, and a bachelor's degree, graduate degree, and law degree from the University of Tulsa in 2006, 2008, and 2015 respectively. Moniz's career experience includes working as a community volunteer.[1]

Calvin is a 20 year resident of the City of Tulsa having been a product of public schools in his home town in Northern California's Central Valley. Calvin found his passion for education during his 1-year term appointment as student representative to his local Board of Education. Upon moving to Tulsa, Calvin attended The University of Tulsa where he earned his business degree, MBA, and law degree. Calvin has been a resident of Tulsa Public Schools District 2 for more than 15 years where he has been actively engaged in the Kendall-Whittier Neighborhood and serving City of Tulsa Council District 4 as Citizen Representative for the Housing and Urban Development Community Development Committee.
Moniz advocates for local control, upholding the principles of liberty, and equality. He strongly believes that ensuring equal access to quality public education is crucial for our community to effectively address Tulsa's future needs.
