Carla Neubaum was a candidate for the Region 1 seat on the Pennsbury Board of Directors in Pennsylvania. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015. She filed to run in both the Republican and Democratic primaries. Neubaum won a nomination in the Republican primary but withdrew from the race before the general election. The Republican Party chose David Gibbon as her replacement.[1][2][3]

Neubaum obtained her bachelor's degree in English literature from Wheaton College. She went on to earn a certification in secondary education. She has worked as a substitute teacher in the Princeton Township School District. She now works in the K-12 education division of Vantage Learning.[4]

Five of the nine seats on the Pennsbury Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.

In Region 1, T.R. Kannan (D) defeated David Gibbon (R). Gibbon was selected by the Republican Party as the replacement for Carla Neubaum who withdrew from the race after the primary election. Incumbents Jacqueline Redner, John Palmer and Gary Sanderson won election without opposition for the three seats in Region 2. Kim Hilty (D) defeated Annette Dearolf (R) for a two-year term left by former board member Debra Deblasio in Region 3. Christian Schwartz (D) defeated Allan Weisel (R) for a four-year term in Region 3. No independent candidates filed for the general election.[2][1][5]
