Cody Horner was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Canton City Schools Board of Education in Ohio. The general election was held on November 3, 2015.[1] Cody Horner lost the general election on November 3, 2015.

Horner is the deputy financial officer for the Canton Municipal Court. He obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Walsh University. He continued at the same school and earned a master's degree in business management. He is a certified public accountant.[2]

Opposition

Three of the five seats on the Canton City Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. One of the seats represented District 2, and two seats represented the district at-large.

Incumbent Will Grimsley ran unopposed and won re-election for the District 2 seat. Corey Smith and Eric Resnick defeated incumbent Ida Ross-Freeman, Deloris Angeli and Cody Horner for the two at-large seats that were up for election. At-large incumbent Lisa Gissendaner did not run for re-election.[3][4][5]

Funding

Horner reported $10.175.00 in contributions and $2,417.26 in expenditures to the Stark County Board of Elections, which left his campaign with $8,297.74 in the election.[6]
