They faced seven challengers, Domingo "Sonny" Garza, Reyna Montes, Dave Pfeifer, Pauline Redd, Rick Riddle, Jesus Ruiz and Gerald Witter. Rhyan ran as a write-in candidate.
Three newcomers won the election. Riddle, Pfeifer and Garza were elected to the board.
