The Florida Chief Financial Officer Duties Amendment was not on the ballot in Florida as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 3, 2020.
This amendment would have required the Florida Chief Financial Officer to provide information about counties and municipalities to residents annually "to allow them to compare economic and noneconomic factors of each local government."[1][2]

To put a legislatively referred constitutional amendment before voters, a three-fifths (60%) vote is required in both the Florida State Senate and the Florida House of Representatives.
This amendment was introduced as House Joint Resolution 7061 on February 3, 2020. The state House approved the amendment by a vote of 90-23 with seven not voting on March 4, 2020.[1]
The measure did not pass in the second chamber before the legislature adjourned on March 13, 2020.
