Gary Starnes is a judge for the Hamilton County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He was first elected to the court on August 2, 2012.[1][2]

Education

Starnes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1981 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1986.[3]

Career

Starnes began his legal career as an attorney with the firm Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams, where he worked for six years. In 1993, he opened his own firm. In addition, Starnes is a Rule 31 listed general civil mediator and arbitrator in Tennessee. He also served as a special judge on the Chattanooga City Courts and General Sessions Court.[3]
