Why are you running for office? I am running to keep Kaukauna moving forward, as we have the past years. We have implemented good incentives and made progress. I feel I can continue this process in another term as a school board member. Change in education is constant and I want to be part of the change that moves Kaukauna to a new level. Government experience: School board member for 12 years. I served as vice president and am currently president of the board. What do you think are the key issues facing the community? Student success. It is about the children while being fiscally responsible to the Kaukauna taxpayer. Our students deserve as much as we can give them while keeping the taxpayer in mind. School safety is ever-present and we are doing more all the time. To keep buildings up to date with technology and offer our students as much as we can to keep them on track; make their education a top priority as they move on from Kaukauna. To continue to follow our goals of improving culture and climate, student success and being fiscally responsible. What do you hope to accomplish, if elected? Empower our teachers and administration to increase student success. To enable these people to be the best they can be by giving them the tools they need to teach and learn. Raising student success is the goal. Professional development will raise student academic achievements in this ever-changing world of education.[5][6] |
