Herman Baertschiger, Jr.
Herman Baertschiger (Republican Party) was a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 2. He assumed office in 2013. He left office on January 10, 2021.
Baertschiger (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Oregon State Senate to represent District 2. He won in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Baertschiger served as state Senate minority leader beginning with the 2019 legislative session until April 2020. He did not file to run for re-election in 2020.[1][2]
In March 2022, Baertschiger became acting chairman of the Oregon Republican Party after former chairman Dallas Heard (R) resigned.[3]
Biography
Baertschiger's professional experience includes being an instructor at Rogue Community College and as the operator of HB Company Incorporated.[4]

Baertschiger won election in the 2012 election for Oregon Senate District 2. Baertschiger was unopposed in the May 15 Republican primary and defeated Jim Diefenderfer (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[9][10][11]
