Idaho House Bill 216 was introduced by the House State Affairs Committee on March 3, 2015. It was unanimously approved in the Idaho House on March 17, 2015, and was approved in the Idaho Senate on March 30, 2015, in a 32-2 vote.
Idaho House Bill 216 added an additional election date for city initiatives and referendums, replaced the previous section of state code governing initiative and referendum for cities and made technical corrections to the state's code.[1]
