Jimmy W. Trout is a judge of the Orphans Court of Frederick County in Frederick County, Maryland.[1][2] He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[3]

Trout ran for election to the Orphans Court of Frederick County.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 28.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Buzz Working and incumbent Judges Adrian Remsberg and Cleopatra Campbell. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: He faced James Edward French, Bonnie L. Nicholson, Janis Judson, and incumbent judges, Adrian Remsberg and Cleopatra Campbell in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 20.2 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Trout graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1984.[5]
Career
In addition to his work on the bench, Trout is a small business owner in Frederick County. He has owned AllCool Refrigerant Reclaim since 2004.[6][5]
