James Edward French was a 2014 candidate for the Orphans Court of Frederick County in Frederick County, Maryland.[1]

French ran for election to the Orphans Court of Frederick County.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 32.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Bonnie L. Nicholson and Janis Judson. Primary candidates ran unopposed for 3 seats. 
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 13.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Jimmy W. Trout, Bonnie L. Nicholson, Janis Judson, and incumbent judges, Adrian Remsberg and Cleopatra Campbell for three open seats. [1][2] 

Education

French received an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.[3]

Career

French was as an association executive in high-technology industries for 28 years. He also produced the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.[4]
