Joe Krier
Joe Krier was a member of the San Antonio City Council in the state of Texas, representing District 9 from November 2013 to June 2017. He was appointed to the District 9 seat in November 2013, following the resignation of Elisa Chan, who was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 25 of the Texas State Senate.[1] Krier won election to the position in May 2015. He did not seek re-election in 2017.[2]
Biography
Krier holds a B.S. and a J.D. from the University of Texas, Austin. His professional experience includes working as the president and CEO of The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.[2]

The city of San Antonio, Texas, held elections for mayor and city council on May 9, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 27, 2015. All 10 city council seats were up for election. In District 9, incumbent Joe Krier defeated Richard Castanon, Lori Slusher, Jeffry Van Slycke and Bert Cecconi.[3][4][5]
