John Black was the Democratic candidate for District 26 of the Kentucky State Senate. The primary election was on May 18, 2010 and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]

Black ran unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary. He lost to Republican incumbent Ernie Harris by a margin of 30,305 to 21,656 in the November 2 general election.[2][3]
