John D. Coonrod
John D. Coonrod was a 2012 candidate for the Seventh Circuit Court in Illinois, running for the Scott County resident judge position.[1]
2012 election
Conrood was defeated by David R. Cherry on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 41.6% of the vote. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[2][3][1]

Education
Coonrod received his undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law.[4]
Career
At the time of his candidacy, Coonrod worked as a private practice attorney. He is also a former Winchester City Attorney, corporate counsel for the Scott County Housing Authority and Scott County public defender.[4]
