I'm the ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATE running for this technical office that meets the minimum legal requirement in the California Constitutional of being a Certified Property Appraiser to serve as an elected Assessor.
It's my technical education and experience auditing and overseeing Assessors to ensure you are not overtaxed that helped me implement innovative programs as the San Diego County Chief Deputy Assessor that help San Diegans receive UNPRECEDENTED PROPERTY TAX SAVINGS of over $260 MILLION for homeowners, renters, seniors, disabled veterans, wildfire survivors, affordable housing, and charitable organizations that help our homeless off the streets.
To be a successful officeholder you must have the technical education and experience that policy makers relay upon to help them be successful in making San Diego better. I've been proud to earn the trust of elected policy makers reflected in my tremendous bipartisan support and endorsements from business, labor, civil rights and community leaders.
Most importantly, you have to have a heart for public service. It's the 3,000+ endorsements I have received from community members across San Diego County that means the most and reflects my track record of serving the community and putting customers first!
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF HEART - FROM THE COVID SHUTDOWN:
If someone is not experienced and versed in property tax administration - it could lead to you being overtaxed. When that happens, you have to fight the bureaucracy.
I’ve been privileged to serve as your Chief Deputy Assessor/ Recorder/ County Clerk and Taxpayer Advocate.
This office has become the model Assessor / Recorder/ County Clerk office in California. I have a passion for public service and want to continue leading innovation in the office to serve San Diegans with the best customer focused experience at life’s most precious moments.
