Josh Turner
Joshua L. Turner was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 11 of the Kentucky State Senate.[1]
Biography
Turner received a degree in mechanical engineering technology in 2015 from Cincinnati State Community and Technical College.[2] His professional experience includes working in the aerospace field, as a machine operator, and as a quality inspector with Meyer Tool. He said the tea party movement encouraged him to run in 2012.[3]

Turner issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:
“ | Property rights, state rights, locally ran school curriculums, shrinking our state budget, eliminating the waste from our state government, protecting state pensions and addressing the issue for future employees, cutting out the waste in our medical field, look at bring in more hospitals and creating competition in Northern Kentucky, look at the contracts between the hospitals and doctors (doctors have to work outside a certain mile range if they leave the hospital, this is not in the best interest of the residents of Northern Kentucky. This forces them our of our area.), look at new sources of revenue with our raising taxes (gambling and legalization of marijuana with ballot approval, as I believe this should be for everyone to decide), protecting gun laws, protecting life (pro-life), defining life legally, and ect.. There are so many issues and threats we face I can't list them all. | ” |
