Justin Perpich
Justin Perpich was a candidate for the District 4 seat on the Duluth school board. Perpich did not receive enough votes in the September 10 primary election to continue on to the general election on November 5, 2013.
Biography
Justin Perpich resides in Duluth, Minnesota. Perpich earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin, Superior. He is employed as a staff behavioral specialist by TBI Residential and Community. Perich serves as vice chairman of Duluth's Community Development Committee.[1]

Justin Perpich challenged incumbent Art Johnston and fellow candidate David Bolgrien to win the District 4 seat in the general election on November 5, 2013. Perpich was defeated in the September 10 primary election and did not continue on to the general election. He endorsed Bolgrien following his defeat.[2]

In response to a survey from the Duluth News Tribune, Perpich argued that reducing class sizes is the most significant issue facing the school district:[1]
With smaller class sizes, there is a better teacher to student ratio increasing one-on-one attention and relationships between teachers and classmates. These relationships can reduce bullying and build a student’s pride in their education. |
