Since strong public involvement is crucial to the transportation planning process, a core component of my career has been to actively listen to concerned citizens, and then ensure their input is applied to projects in a meaningful manner.
I bring a firm understanding of the transportation decision making process, and I think these principles can be applied to long-range planning for the Treasure Valley. I have managed, staffed and documented dozens of public hearings, scoping meetings, advisory committees and community workshops.
In my former role as a community engagement manager for ACHD, I built positive relationships with people with diverse perspectives, mitigated construction impacts, and found solutions to communicate with impacted businesses and residents about transportation, bicycle, sidewalk, and community projects.
As a public involvement manager, I supported the successful delivery of outreach and communication services for the Idaho Transportation Department's Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle (GARVEE) Transportation Program, one of the largest public works initiatives in Idaho history, which included Interstate 84 reconstruction and Idaho highway corridor studies and improvements.

I am running for ACHD Commissioner because I want to actively listen to concerned citizens, and ensure their input is applied to transportation projects in a meaningful manner.
