Campaign themes
2014
Gaynor's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
- Get spending under control by eliminating unessential programs. I will work to remove waste, like paying select companies millions to move from one CT town to another.
- Once state spending is under control, repeal Malloy tax increases.
- Stop over-taxing and over-regulating business. Eliminate the "red tape" that overburdens our companies. Improve the business climate for ALL businesses.
- We must streamline state government so that we can properly fund important programs like mental health treatment and family support.
- Stop wasteful unfunded state mandates that take decisions away from local communities and increase property taxes.
