Biography

Makana McClellan earned a bachelor’s in Journalism from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and a Master of Business Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Her career experience includes working as director of marketing at Shriners Children’s Hawai’i. She was also the public information officer at The Queen’s Health Systems.[1]

Board members

The State of Hawaii Board of Education is made up of nine members appointed by the governor, a non-voting student representative, and a non-voting military liaison. There are no publicly elected members of the board.[2]
