New judges on county Circuit Courts

On April 6, 2010, the voters in Wisconsin chose eleven new judges for the county Circuit Courts. In nine contested elections, seven seats were open, due to a retiring judge. One incumbent lost to an opponent in his race, while another won his re-election bid. Lastly, three candidates ran unopposed for newly created seats. Results will remain unofficial until April 16, 2010.[1]
- James P. Czajkowski ran unopposed to the newly created seat.
- Gary R. Sharpe defeated Scot T. Mortier with 56% of the vote.
- William Dyke earned 61% of votes, defeating Rhonda Hazen. Dyke was the only incumbent re-elected in a contested election.
- Mark L. Goodman will replace Michael McAlpine after winning 62% of votes. His opponent was Kerry Sullivan-Flock.
- Monroe County Circuit Court, Branch 3
- J. David Rice ran unopposed for the newly created seat.
- Jay N. Conley won 57% of votes, defeating Edward D. Burke, Jr.. Conley and Burke advanced to the general election after garnering the most votes in the primary election on February 16, 2010.
- Joseph D. Boles defeated Robert L. Loberg with 54% of the vote. Boles and Loberg advanced to the general election after winning the most votes in this year's primary election.
- Eugene Gasiorkiewicz received 54% of votes, defeating Georgia Herrera.
- Steven P. Anderson ran unopposed to the seat vacated by Frederick Henderson.
- David M. Reddy won the seat, with 61% of the vote. He and his opponent, David A. Danz competed after receiving the most votes in the primary election.
- Mark Gundrum overwhelming defeated incumbent Richard Congdon. Gundrum won 77% of votes.
- John Jorgensen defeated Edmund J. Jelinski. They advanced to the general election after garnering the most votes in the primary election on February 16, 2010. Jorgensen won 55% of the vote.
