Philip Stevens was a Republican candidate for District 10 of the West Virginia State Senate. The primary election was on May 11, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.

Stevens was defeated by Democrat Mark Wills in the November 2 general election. The Republican primary winner, John Shott, was passed over in the August 25 Republican Committee meeting where Stevens was chosen to run on the general election ticket.[1][2][3]
