Efforts to recall council members Mearl McDaniel, Jack McDaniel and Joseph George in Powers, Oregon, from their positions were launched in June 2015.[1] All three council members were recalled on September 29, 2015.[2]

The recall election against all three council members took place on September 29, 2015.[1] The election had a vote turnout of 65 percent.[2]

Recall supporters
The members were targeted for recall over a $9 million plan to replace the city's out-of-compliance sewer system. Supporters of the petition alleged that the city could have gotten a better deal if they would have accepted bids from other vendors for the project.[1]
