Ralph DeZago
Ralph DeZago is a former City Prosecutor for Junction City, Kansas. On July 10, 2009, he announced his candidacy for the statewide office of attorney general, challenging Democrat Stephen Six, who was appointed by then-Governor Kathleen Sebelius in 2008.[1] DeZago lost the Republican nomination to State Senate Majority Leader Derek Schmidt in the state's primary on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, receiving a little under twenty-four percent of the vote.

Professional experience
Upon receiving his bachelor's degree, DeZago joined the United States Army, serving as an airborne Armor Officer from 1971 until 1975. After he was honorably discharged and graduated from law school, he was named as Chief Public Defender for the 8th Judicial District of Kansas and then later worked as Chief Public Defender for North Central Kansas, where he remained for eighteen years. In 2003, he was appointed as an assistant to the State Attorney General's Office. Four years later, DeZago became city prosecutor for Junction City, Kansas.
