Roger Cleveland
Roger Cleveland was a candidate for the Division 2 seat on the Fayette County Board of Education in the Kentucky general election on November 4, 2014.[1] Roger Cleveland lost the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
Biography
Cleveland earned his bachelor's degree from Morehead State University, master's from Union College and Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. At the time of his candidacy, Cleveland was an associate professor in the College of Education at Eastern Kentucky University. Cleveland has previously worked in the Cincinnati Public Schools. Additionally, he has been director of the division of federal programs and instructional equity at the Kentucky Department of Education and taught at Morehead State University. Cleveland has served as president and owner of Millennium Learning Concepts Consulting Company.[3]

The election in Fayette County featured two seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election. Division 2 incumbent Doug Barnett defeated challenger Roger Cleveland while Division 4 incumbent Amanda Ferguson won re-election against Natasha Murray.

Funding
State law did not require campaign finance reporting if contributions or expenditures did not exceed $1,000 in an election cycle.[4]
