July 31, 2019: Joe Biden's campaign page on Ballotpedia received 3,185 pageviews for the week of July 21-27. That’s the most of any campaign and represents 9.5% of the pageviews for all Democratic candidates during the week. Kamala Harris came in second with 8.3% of the Democratic campaign pageviews for the week while Elizabeth Warren placed third at 6.8%.
Fulfilling its role as the encyclopedia of American politics, Ballotpedia has published pages with detailed background information on every Democratic candidate. The number of pageviews each week shows which candidates are getting their readers' attention. As the second round of Democratic debates wraps up, Ballotpedia pageviews may give an early indication of who’s gaining or losing ground.
While this measure of interest is quite different from polling data or social media monitoring, it is consistent with other data. All current measures of the Democratic race place Biden, Harris, and Warren in the top tier of candidates.
