May 2, 2019: Sixty-six percent (66%) of voters believe that national political reporters often get important aspects of the story wrong. A ScottRasmussen.com survey found that view is shared by 84% of Republicans, 65% of Independents, and 50% of Democrats.[1]

Among those who believe political stories are often wrong, 49% say that the primary reason is a rush to report stories without proper fact-checking. Thirty-six percent (36%) believe that most of the mistakes stem from bias against President Trump or conservatives.

Yesterday’s Number of the day noted that just 38% of voters consider national political coverage to be accurate and reliable.

Each weekday, Scott Rasmussen’s Number of the Day explores interesting and newsworthy topics at the intersection of culture, politics, and technology.
