Born and raised in Arizona, I graduated from Prescott High School, earned a B.S. in Secondary Science Education from NAU, and a M.A. in Science Education from WGU. I taught every science class from grades 7-12 including some online college courses. My husband and I raised our 2 children in the Paradise Valley District. Both are now college graduates, and one is about to earn her M.S. from NAU. Having been raised in Arizona, graduating from a state university, and teaching in public schools gives me a unique perspective when it comes to educational issues. My goal is to make sure every child receives the quality education they deserve in order to be successful after graduation.
  • Attract and Retain Great Teachers. Every child deserves a teacher who is passionate about education.
  • Fully Funded Classrooms. We must redirect funds to the classroom where learning takes place.
  • Graduate Students who are College or Career Ready. Our students should have the fundamentals to excel in college or in their careers after High School.
My passion is education. Having been a teacher for 25 years, and raising two college graduates, I am the only candidate who has been a parent, teacher, and in-touch community member. I want every child to be educated and safe on campus, and want to come to school in order to learn, to collaborate, and to get along with their fellow students. School should be a place where student want to go - not have to go.
