Susan M. Riedel
Susan M. Riedel was a district court judge in the Third Judicial District of New Mexico. Judge Riedel was appointed with Judge Jacinto Palomino by Governor Susana Martinez on February 2, 2011. They were appointed to fill two vacancies created by the retirements of Jerald A. Valentine and Stephen Bridgforth.[1] She lost her re-election bid in 2012.
Education
Riedel earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1981. She received her J.D.from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. in 1984.[2]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Riedel served as a deputy district attorney in the Third Judicial District from 1997 to 2011.[2] Prior to 1997 she worked in several other public service positions, but never worked as a private practice attorney.
Election
2012
Susan M. Riedel lost her bid for election to Marci E. Beyer in the general election on November 6th.[3][4]
