Thomas Blewitt was a magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He served in this position from 1992 to 2015.[1][2]

Education

Judge Blewitt received his B.A. degree from the University of Scranton in 1972, his M.P.A. degree from Marywood University in 1979, and his J.D. from Temple University's School of Law in 1983.[1]

Career

Judge Blewitt began his career in 1972 as a Special Investigator for the Pennsylvania Department of Justice, Bureau of Consumer Affairs. He worked in this capacity until 1980. In 1984, he became an Assistant District Attorney. Two years later, he became an Assistant Federal Public Defender. In 1992, he joined the Middle District of Pennsylvania District Court as a magistrate judge.[1]
