The West Virginia Property Tax Limitation and Homestead Amendment of 1982, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment No. 3, was on the ballot in West Virginia on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This amendment exempted from ad valorem property taxation the first $20,000 of assessed value.[1][2]
