Margaret P. Eagles (Democratic Party) is a judge for District 10D Seat 1 of the North Carolina 10th Judicial District. She assumed office in 2009. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Eagles (Democratic Party) is running for re-election for the District 10D Seat 1 judge of the North Carolina 10th Judicial District. The Democratic primary for this office on March 3, 2026, was canceled.
Judge Eagles was a 2016 candidate for the North Carolina Court of Appeals.[1] She ran to succeed Judge Martha Geer, who stepped down from the bench in May 2016. She was defeated by Hunter Murphy.
Biography
Education
Eagles received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1995 and her J.D. from Campbell University School of Law in 2000.[2][3]

- 2004-2010: Attorney, Larcade & Heiskell, PLLC
- 2001-2005: Assistant attorney general, North Carolina Department of Justice
- 2000: Admitted to the North Carolina Bar [2][4]

Eagles ran to succeed Judge Martha Geer on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.[1] Because the seat was vacated after the primary election, no primary was held. Eagles will face Hunter Murphy and Donald R. Buie on November 8, 2016.
