Rudolph Pyle III (also known as Rudy) is a judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals 4th District. He assumed office on August 7, 2012. His current term ends on December 31, 2034.
Pyle ran for re-election for judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals 4th District. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
Education
Pyle graduated from Anderson College with degrees in history and political science in 1992. He earned his master's degree in public policy from the College of William & Mary in 1994. After working as an Indiana state trooper for four years, Pyle attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law-Bloomington. He received his J.D. in 2000.[1]
Career
Prior to his appointment to the Indiana Court of Appeals, Pyle served as judge for the Madison County Circuit Court.[1] He was appointed to that position in 2009 after serving as a law clerk for Judge Carr Darden from 2000 to 2004. Pyle also previously served as a deputy prosecutor in Madison County and worked as an attorney in private practice.[2]
